1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Nock ("Nock," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our messaging-first project coordination service for general contractors, available at proto1-ruddy.vercel.app and any associated applications (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account information
When you create a Nock account we collect your name, email address, business name, phone number, and any other information you provide during signup or in your profile.
Project & communication data
As you use Nock to manage projects, we collect and store project details, subcontractor and client contact information you provide, messages exchanged through SMS and email ingested into the Service, uploaded files, photos, and video walkthroughs, and any notes or comments you create.
Phone numbers and SMS content
We collect phone numbers that you provide for yourself, your team, your subcontractors, and your clients, and we collect the content of SMS messages sent and received through the Service. See Section 4 below for the specific terms that apply to SMS messaging.

We collect technical information automatically, including IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, features used, and timestamps. This data helps us operate, secure, and improve the Service.

4. SMS Messaging Terms
Nock uses Twilio to send and receive SMS messages on behalf of general contractors who use the Service.
Opt-in
You consent to receive SMS messages from Nock when you provide your phone number during signup, in your profile, or when a general contractor using Nock adds you as a contact and you respond to an initial SMS message. The general contractor is responsible for obtaining consent from their subcontractors and clients before adding them to the Service.
Message types and frequency
Messages may include project updates, status requests, scheduling coordination, reminders, and other operational communications. Message frequency varies and depends on the activity in your projects.
Opt-out and help
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive. For help, reply HELP or contact us at david@nocktheapp.com.
Carrier charges
Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Mobile information sharing
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors performing services on our behalf to support our relationship with you (such as customer support, account management, message delivery, and analytics) is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
5. How We Share Information
We share information only as described below:
With your team and counterparties
If you are a general contractor using Nock, your team members and the subcontractors and clients you communicate with through the Service will see the messages and information you share with them. If you are a subcontractor or client, the general contractor who invited you will have access to the messages and information you share with them.

We use the following service providers to operate the Service. Each is bound by contractual obligations to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we authorize:
- Twilio — SMS messaging delivery and phone number provisioning.
- Supabase — Database, authentication, and file storage.
- Anthropic — AI processing of communication and project content to generate summaries, prioritization, and update suggestions. Anthropic does not train on customer data sent through its API.
- Vercel — Application hosting and content delivery.

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other valid legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Nock, our users, or others.
Business transfers
If Nock is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or security purposes.
7. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and authentication requirements. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your information, and the right to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at david@nocktheapp.com.
